Early Election in BC?

Earlier today -- BC NDP Opposition House Leader (and MLA for Juan de Fuca) John Horgan talks with Legislature reporters about the remote possibility that the government may fall on 1st Reading of its' Budget next Tuesday.  Read the story from CBC-BC here

Mr. Horgan took great delight in stated that the NDP would not hesitate to vote 'non-confidence' in the BC Liberal government, at the first opportunity that presented itself.  Mr. Horgan also took a parting shot at Cariboo-North Ind. MLA Bob Simpson by suggesting that he is likely to vote with the BC Liberals over budget matters.  Meanwhile - BC Liberals, despite their slim 4 MLA Majority (plus the Speaker - but can't vote except in matters resulting in a tie and only on 1st/2nd Reading of Bills to continue debate) say they believe that they have the numbers to maintain the 'confidence of the House'

For myself - if the NDP were to pull it off (defeat gov't on budget confidence matter) , I wonder how political parties (BC Liberals, BC NDP and BC Conservatives) would deal with the matter over getting candidates in place for all 85 Electoral Districts in BC.  But I personally would be 'shell-shocked' if the BC Liberals' were to fall next week, I suspect this scenario is not likely to happen

What do I know compared to any one else, but for my 2 cents worth I think it doubtful NDP would case govt to fall at this point.

In fact would it not run counter to Adrian Dix nice guy persona??
