Earlier this week - MoneySense, a Canadian financial tips magazine came out with its list of best places to live in Canada. The methodology (or logic for its' best places to live listings) was as follows:
* Economy
* Affordability
* Health
* Weather
* Commute
* Crime
* Taxes
* Demographics
* Culture
* Amenities
The top 5 places to live in Canada in 2018 are:
1) Oakville, Ontario
2) Ottawa, Ontario
3) Russell, Ontario
4) St-Bruno-De-Montarville, Quebec
5) Lacombe, Alberta
The top 5 places in BC in which to live, according to MoneySense's ranking are:
1) Fort St John
2) Whistler
3) Squamish
4) Delta
5) District of North Vancouver
Ranking of local governments in the Cariboo-Chilcotin:
* Quesnel - #19 of 60 (in BC) and #154 of 415 Canada-wide
* Williams Lake #29 of 60 (in BC) and #199 of 415 Canada-wide
Districts of Wells and 100 Mile House & the 12 Electoral Areas of the Cariboo Regional District did not rank in MoneySense's survey as you had to have a minimum population of 10,000 or more to make the list
