2011 Hydrant and Water Main Flushing program
The City of Quesnel Utilities Department will run its annual fire hydrant and water main flushing program starting on Tuesday, September 6 for approximately three weeks. This will occur from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.
The schedule is as follows:
Hydrant and water main flushing causes turbidity in the City's water system. Residents should expect, and be prepared for, discoloured water. If you experience this, leave a cold water tap running until the water returns to normal.

- Sept. 8 and 9 - Johnston and Carson Subdivisions
- Sept. 9 and 12 - Two and Three-Mile Flat
- Sept. 12 and 13 - West Quesnel - Uplands and west of Baker Creek
- Sept. 13 and 14 - West Quesnel - East of Baker Creek
- Sept. 15 - Downtown and North Quesnel - 5 a.m. start time
